Spain overturns Holocaust denial law
German persecution lobby infuriated
Brigitte Zypries
We did not manipulate this photo. Any resemblence to anti-Semitic Cartoons lies in the eye of the beholder, and is not yet punishable in Germany.
ALL vain Ms. Zypries (Brigitte Zypries, left), is all I can say. Many Germans perceive the BRD (Federal Republic of Germany) Minister of Justice to be a hate-spewing and misanthropic person.
While Germany had the EU presidency, Zypries boasted that she had brought the remaining EU-states into line. Now in the EU, apart from Britain, anyone expressing doubts in the the Holocaust and publishing unaccepted facts would be thrown into prison. [Not correct - A number of European countries still enjoy free speech, amongst others Denmark]
Anyone who would do such a thing, said Ms. Zypries with swollen chest and a satanic grin, would now be mercilessly ('gnadenlos') thrown in prison anywhere in the EU. But not even a year later the Spanish Court brought the evil source of this fury of human rights violations to an abrupt end.
The Spanish Constitutional Court demolished the BRD exported persecution on November 8, 2007 in its entirety.
The BRD pressed Spain for ten years not to be weak and to hold to the BRD model Holocaust persecution laws. However what is sought in the BRD with a magnifying glass and is scarcely found is still found in Spain. Judges who serve Justice with honor and dignity.
On November 8, 2007, against German protest, the Holocaust muzzle law was abolished in Spain.

Pedro Varela
The judge Santiago Vidal condemned the Spanish intellectual and journalist Pedro Varela before the District Court of Barcelona (Juzgado Penal Nº 3) in 1998 to five years imprisonment for "Holocaust denial" and "racial hatred".
Vidal also ordered the destruction of 20,000 confiscated books.
Pressure from the Federal Republic of Germany (Jewish Occupation Zone)
The condemnation of the Spanish human rights resulted from the Holocaust denial law (artículo 607.2, Código Penal) instituted in 1996 under pressure from the FRG.
Both Catalan appellate bodies and in the end the three judges of the High Court of Catalonia (Audiencia Provincial), decided that the article 607.2 of the Spanish Penal Code (Holocaust denial law) was incompatible with the human right to freedom of expression. Therefore, the judge of the "Audiencia Provincial" sent the case of Varela to the Spanish Constitutional Court in Madrid for final disposition.
Varela - Irving in Barcelona - Spring 2007
Pedro Varela had his passport revoked and was set upon with ten years of incredible reprisals. He had not only to submit to repeated raids, but also had to endure heavy losses from renewed seizure of thousands of books.
Eleven years after the beginning of persecution of human rights activists, on November 8, 2007, the 12 most senior judges at Spain's Madrid Constitutional Court (El Tribunal Constitucional) decided not only about the Holocaust denial law, but also about the further fate of the persecuted dissident Pedro Varela.
The decision of the Spanish Chief Justice did not please the BRD-Minister of Justice Brigitte Zypries and her fellow persecutors (Menschenverfolgern) in Germany.
According to the highest Spanish judge the Holocaust denial law is not compatible with the right to freedom of expression as guaranteed by the Spanish Constitution.
The judges did not accept the argument that disputing the Holocaust deprived the Jews of their human dignity and threatened their existence.
The judges argued that (the use of) freedom of expression can offend any person or any group, that is precisely characteristic of freedom of expression.
The fundamental human right to freedom of expression cannot be made dependent on the sensitivities of an individual or of select groups , according to the judge.
Holocaust enlightenment (Aufklärung) will no longer be a criminal offense in Spain.
